We’ve talked with Edmonton’s music collecting community about the necessity of an event like the Edmonton Music Collectors Show. While there are existing events where collectors can buy, sell, and trade their collectible vinyl and music memorabilia, etc., EMCS is the only trade show in Northern Alberta fully dedicated to passionate music collectors and focused solely on music-related merchandise. Prior to the launch of the first EMCS in 2011, there had not been such an event in Edmonton for over a decade.
Based on our first-hand experience with similar events, as well as the feedback we’ve received from the music collecting community, our goal was to organize an event that is accessible for all interested vendors and collectors. This translates to reasonable and affordable table rental rates for vendors, reasonable and affordable admission rates for collectors, and great organization, promotion and advertising for the event.
Past shows in 2011, 2012 & 2013 have demonstrated a high level of demand in Northern Alberta for such an event, with vendor sell-outs and healthy crowds. Both the 2011 and 2012 Spring shows saw between 400-500 attendees. As a result, we have now expanded EMCS to twice a year — Spring and Fall. Our first Fall show on September 30, 2012 saw another vendor sell-out and about 400 attendees come through the doors. Our Spring show on April 21, 2013 show saw record attendance and sales. We saw 650 attendees total, and over 200 during the collectors hour. Our Fall show in 2013 saw about 500 attendees, and Spring 2014 was another great turnout with almost 600 attendees through the doors, including more than 200 in the first hour.

Vendors are permitted to rent multiple adjoining tables if they require additional space, to a maximum of THREE 8-foot tables or FOUR 6-foot tables.

Table space is first come, first served. Table space is limited and sells quickly, so we recommend booking as soon as possible. Table booking is not confirmed until payment is received.
Table placement within the venue is at the discretion of show organizers based on the space requirements of all vendors. You will receive your table assignment during setup check-in. You will receive a receipt for your table rental payment at the venue on the day of the show.
There is a waiting list for interested vendors after table space sells out. In the event of a cancellation, we will offer available space to vendors on the waiting list on a first come, first served basis.
Cancellation deadline is September 21, 2014. Vendors who cancel after this date will forfeit all payment submitted. Cancellation prior to this date will result in a full refund.
